NAKSHI KANTHAR MATH - NEELA
This is one of our most treasured designs, because it takes in a lot of labour to get completed. The saree has 5 patches of kantha, where stories from the ballad Nakshi Kanthar Math, are kantha stitched. Its like a painting done with needle. Later they are attached on the anchol of the silk saree. The saree has a handembroidered border where motifs are made taking references from rural life. The inspiration of the kaantha is taken from various works from Bangladesh.
